My Story:

Blaze (aka “B”) is a professional life and executive coach, trained and certified by the University of Cambridge. Her background is in commercial law having worked in prestigious law firms located in three jurisdictions in Vancouver, Canada, Grand Cayman and London, England. She also has the experience of working in-house in a London based private offshore company which later became part of the Paradise Papers investigation.

B is originally from Vancouver, Canada, although has Croatian ancestry going back over 500 years to the Dalmatian Island of Krapanj. She has lived in England since 2002 with her husband, a barrister, and together they have two children.

B read sciences and psychology as an undergraduate in Vancouver and has continued reading psychology for the past 25 years in a personal pursuit of understanding human behaviour, motivation, cognitive potential and relational connections. When her son developed type 1 diabetes as a toddler, she began learning about endocrinology to understand the effects of hormones on the body and how they pertain to physical health.  As a result, her perception of well-being has become broader, encompassing a range of factors that impact our health and well-being.

Throughout B’s career and married life, she has experienced and helped people with the negative effects of work pressure and stress, and those experiences have driven her to explore ways of building resiliency, overcoming stress and learning how to embrace and control anxiety.  She believes most high achieving individuals who experience stress and anxiety can benefit from these natural physiological responses by developing a greater understanding of their function, a view supported by recent scientific research.  B is keen to help change perceptions of stress and anxiety, and to promote self-awareness and emotional intelligence with a view to empowering leaders and professionals to succeed in gaining balance and fulfillment in both their work and in their personal lives.

B found herself naturally drawn to coaching as a vehicle to support professionals predominantly down to her belief in the power of self-discovery as facilitated by non-judgmental, objective and skilled coaches who themselves believe, encourage and support people in becoming the greatest versions of themselves.  She founded Finer Life Coaching with the mission to help people achieve goals through strength, happiness and health by making herself and a select group of talented coaches available to her clients. The Finer Life Coaching group approach their work collaboratively with the energy, enthusiasm and the drive required to connect with people in compassionate ways.
